This week is all about improving your skills. We’ll start with proper tour planning: Where’s the best line and the safest ascent TODAY? You’ll learn how to use your safety gear effectively. We’ll take the time to understand avalanche transceiver searches (LVS) in both theory and practice and help you develop a clear action plan and strategy. You’ll gain hands-on avalanche knowledge to help you distinguish between “green” and “red” terrain. This camp is by snowboarders, for snowboarders, and with snowboarders. You’ll also have the chance to test splitboards from K2, as well as various avalanche safety products including transceivers, shovels, probes, and airbag backpacks from Backcountry Access (BCA).
